Board Directors
Pål Christensen (Director of Board) has a legal degree from the University of Oslo. He has worked as a scientific assistant and as a deputy judge as well as a lawyer in his own practice in Oslo from 1981 and later in Arendal from 1988. Since 1987 he has had the right to appear before the Supreme Court. The areas of work have largely been related to property law issues, but he has also for a number of years been a regular defense attorney at the Agder District Court and the Agder Court of Appeal. For almost 40 years, he has been a permanent examiner at the Faculty of Law at University of Oslo.
Ellen Aslaksen (Member of Board) has extensive experience as a leader in the cultural field and is currently director of the Aust-Agder Museum and archive. She has been on the board of the Culture Council (now the Directorate of Culture), was dean at the Oslo Academy of the Arts, and led the Culture Council's research and development work. Aslaksen is a trained social anthropologist and has broad knowledge of art and cultural policy. She has held several board positions in the university and college sector, including at the University of Oslo and the Research Council of Norway. She has also been an important contributor to government research related to art and cultural policy issues.
Per Kristian Lunden (Member of Board) has a degree in media studies (MA) from the University of Leicester, UK and the University of Oslo. He has been chairman of the board of the Norwegian Peace Corps, Vennskap Nord-Sør and International reporter and has worked as an advisor and partner in several development projects in Africa and Asia. He has worked as a journalist, editor and information officer and in the period 2011-2023 was mayor (Ap) in Risør. He has been chairman of the Østre Agder regional council and led several regional development projects. Deputy representative to the Norwegian parliament 2017-2021. From the autumn of 2023, he is engaged as a process supervisor in the KS national election programme.
Randi S Øgrey (Member of Board) has her background in journalism and politics. With extensive experience as a leader and CEO in the media and culture sectors, she currently holds the position of CEO at the Norwegian Media Business Association. In addition to her national responsibilities, Øgrey is actively engaged internationally , particularly in advocating for freedom of expression and mediadevelopment. She serves as the Vice President of News Media Europa and is a member of the global MediaFreedom board (WAN-ifra). She was one of the founders when establishing the Ukrainian Media Fund, which now collaborates with GMF (German Marshall Fund). Øgrey serves as a board member at the Institute of Journalism, Pressens Hus, the Norwegian Press Council, and actively participates in the World Expression Forum (WexFo). Øgrey's educational background is in journalism, political science (UIO), history, and culture. She has a partmaster in management and recently attended INSEAD's board program.
Anders Holm (Member of Board) is a civil engineer from NTH (1989) with additional economic education from NHH (1993). He has worked as a scientific assistant, structural engineer and project manager and for the past 30 years has held various leadership roles in the marine energy segment, both in Norway and internationally, as well as held several board positions in private business and in the cultural field. Today he is managing director of CSUB AS, a company that develops and produces composite structures for marine use, as well as chairman of Canal Street AS, a regional music and culture festival.

Cato Litangen (executive director and founder) has degrees in political science from University in Oslo and public management from Lillehammer University college. Before founding Mimeta in 2008 he held the position as programme manager for Information and data at Grid/ Arendal, a technical support center for UNs Environmental programme (UNEP). A deep involvement in the rise of the digital information society and communications was his entrance to diverse international engagements.
Alf Olav Bleie Andersen (Impact Officer) has a MA in History from the University of Oslo. Formerly a student of economics, the focus of Alf’s studies often concerned social and political change in modern history. This focus culminated in his thesis, which examined the Iraqi Kurds and their struggle in the 1970s.
