Action for Hope Introduces an In-depth Training Guide and we as Mimeta are very pleased to share. It is a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the capacities of cultural managers operating within complex socio-political environments.
And we are sure it has relevance and will be useful also for managers outside this target group. Developed by Action for Hope, an experienced cultural organization and partner of Mimeta, this guide (in English and Arabic language versions) serves as a resourceful tool for developing cultural initiatives.
The guide is the collaborative effort of cultural experts Basma El Husseiny, Rana Yazaji, and Abdullah AlKafri. Basma, the founding director of Action for Hope, alongside the founders of Ettijahat, Rana and Abdullah, bring substantial expertise to this initiative.
An Insightful Approach to Cultural Resilience
The program, Fa’ael, is designed to cater to the diverse needs of cultural practitioners operating within marginalized communities, often affected by conflict, displacement, and systemic challenges. This meticulously crafted guide serves as a roadmap for understanding community dynamics while offering practical strategies for managing cultural projects in such contexts.
An Interactive Resource for Cultural Empowerment
The guide offers a structured exploration of the topics through a user-friendly interface, fostering an interactive learning experience. Divided into six sections, users can navigate through essential components ranging from organizational background to practical methodologies:
1. About Action for Hope: An overview of Action for Hope’s mission and achievements in fostering cultural resilience.
2. About the Fa’ael Program: A detailed exposition of the objectives and scope of the *Fa’ael* training program.
3. The Purpose of this Guide and How to Use It: Clarification on the intended use of the guide.
4. Training Approach in the Manual: An examination of the pedagogical framework guiding the Fa’ael training approach.
5. Training Topics: Comprehensive coverage of essential topics tailored to the needs of cultural managers.
6. Appendices: Supplementary materials and resources augmenting the training process.
The guide is funded by Svenska Postcode Stiftelsen, Doen Foundation, British Council and Mimeta. Commitment to fostering cultural resilience underscores the significance of collective efforts in addressing societal challenges.
