Ettijahat is excited to announce two new support programs designed to empower Arab artists and art collectives residing in Europe: the Rawabet Programme and the Zad: Miles for Connection Programme. Both initiatives aim to enhance the presence and mobility of Arab artists within the European cultural scene.

 

Rawabet Programme: Production Grants

The Rawabet Programme invites applications for its Production Grants component. This initiative targets Arab artists and art collectives who have been residing in Europe since 2015. Twelve grants, each valued at 12,000 euros, will be awarded to support projects in the performing arts field, including theatre, dance, circus, performing acts, and music. Selected projects will also have the opportunity to participate in one of the Rawabet festivals during 2025 or 2026.

Zad: Miles for Connection Programme

Launched in April 2024, the Zad Programme is designed to support the mobility and visibility of Arab artists in Europe. It provides travel grants covering transportation and accommodation expenses, enabling artists to commute between cities and regions within their country of residence. This initiative aims to enrich the European artistic and cultural scene through expanded collaborations, cultural exchange, and networking.

Applications:

The programme accepts applications throughout the year. The next project selection date is: 30 September 2024.

Zad supports all artistic and literary specializations and is open to artists of all ages and ethnicities from the Arab region residing in Europe. The programme facilitates various artistic activities, including theatrical works, live performances, concerts, film screenings, literary readings, art exhibitions, and sharing outcomes of artist residencies.
