Massar Association for Arts and Culture was founded by agroup of artists and Tunisian human rights activists. It was initially founded in March 2012 to set the starting point in the struggle way to develop the culture through raising the artistic activity and awareness in the places to which we belong (Manouba, Nadhor, Ben Arous and Beja).
In April 2012, they established the One-Minute Film Festival and contributed in development of the training programs in May 2012 through training workshops. In October 2013, they organized the demonstration of “Convoy keeps moving” and cultural rights campaigns
The members believe that “as long as there are excluded and marginalized people we will continue in our path towards achieving the free expression right for all people categories ... a path towards Art, Freedom and Dignity"
