The Asociación Pro Arte y Cultura (APAC), of Bolivia, is a non-profit cultural management organization, made up of volunteers, that since 1998 has been carrying out work to democratize and energize access to artistic training and creative leisure activities. with the population of the Department of Santa Cruz. To achieve its objectives, APAC provides opportunities for artistic training, preserving and disseminating cultural heritage through promotion and cultural tourism, so that all the historical wealth and living culture existing in this region is valued so that it generates also an economic income for the population, allowing them to remain in their places of origin and preserve their cultural heritage.

This is how the International Festival of Renaissance and American Baroque Music “Misiones de Chiquitos” was born in even years, and the International Theater Festival “Santa Cruz de la Sierra” in odd years, which since its inception have been awarded countless times and declared National Heritage. through Law of the Republic of Bolivia No. 2165 in the year 2000 and Municipal Heritage of Culture in the year 2005. In addition to this, APAC holds the Seasonal Festival of Missionary Music and Theater in Chiquitos, the Christmas Musical Encounter, Theater Workshops and Regional Theater Festivals, contests to promote talents in music and theater, among other projects, all aimed at meeting the objectives set by the Institution.

A parallel action, accompanying its artistic activities, are the research and publications it carries out on the cultural heritage of the region, which constitute academic support for cultural promotion and the systematization of its actions, in addition to documenting the great cultural wealth of the native peoples of this region.
